Did I do this????

A few days ago, while organizing my drawer, I came across an old greeting card. Opened it. There was nothing written inside. I was quite puzzled and then it came back to me....I had once actually written a letter to a loved one where I had copied the lines faithfully from this card I had found in a shop!! Eeks! More eeks is the actual wording, which no doubt had left me in tears then. One has to admit though, it has quite a style and is a very "nice" letter. Ya, even then, eeks.

I had always thought
we could work things out.
I believed love would conquer all,
and we would
eventually live "happily ever after".
But I was wrong.
Sometimes caring too much hurts,
and the only way
to make the hurting stop
is to say good bye.

It isn't that I don't love you anymore,
I probably will
for a long, long time.
But, you see, I finally realised
only make believe people live in fairy tales,
where all endings are happy.

You and I are real,
living in a real world,
and it looks we're not going to make it.
I guess all that's really left
is to say good bye.

The saddest (funniest?) part is having intense, mass produced Sorr/Goodbye cards. One would think you would want to be original about saying goodbye. Something like schoolboys copying from poetry books to their girl friends :)).

Hmm, sometimes we tend to borrow words to fill the empty space within. It sounds corny later or makes you go eeekks! But at the time its the only hting that seems to come close to what we have to say at that time.
Never mind that but words have that sort of quality once out you either keep on tasting them till something else takes their place. What say you?
